Merchants Insurance Group has announced that Affiliated Agency, Inc. of Plainview, N.Y. is the company’s 2020 Agent of the Year.
A virtual celebratory luncheon was held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 between agency staff and Merchants’ executives and colleagues from the company’s Long Island office.
The agency was given the award as part of Merchants’ annual “Agent of the Year” program. The company presents the award to one of their more than 1,000 independent insurance agency partners for being a solid business partner with the company, and for those agencies whose work aligns with the company’s core values of outstanding customer service, integrity, respect, loyalty, teamwork and aspiring to improve.

Affiliated Agency, Inc. was appointed with Merchants in 2017. The agency was established in 1997 by the merger of Raymond Comparato, Thomas Duggan and Philip Muller and their respective businesses in order to form a premier insurance service organization. Together they bring more than sixty-five years of insurance experience in the Commercial and Personal Insurance business.
