Merchants Launches Enhanced Online Quoting Platform for CAP

Merchants Insurance Group has just launched our enhanced online quoting platform for Commercial Auto Policies (CAP)!

Effective March 24, 2025, the platform has a new streamlined and intuitive quoting system that provides a quick premium, followed by underwriting intelligence that confirms eligibility, which in some cases allows for straight-through processing.

This system is very similar to quoting platforms for other Merchants products: MAP^® BOP, Contractors Package, and Workers’ Compensation.

To assist agents with navigation in the new platform, we have created a series of training videos to demonstrate the functionalities of the new platform and the enhanced quoting process.

Video tutorials are located in Merchants University, within our secure agent portal. In the Resources section of Merchants University, select Quoting.

Merchants Partners with Samsara to Encourage Dashcam Installation for Commercial Auto Customers

Merchants Insurance Group recently announced a partnership with Samsara in an initiative to enhance our Commercial Auto policyholders’ safety and loss prevention.

Merchants’ Commercial Auto policyholders can use our referral link below to receive a discount on Samsara dashcams for their company vehicles. The policyholder must have a minimum of 11 vehicles in their fleet but is not required to purchase dashcams for the entirety of their vehicles.
