Merchants Insurance Group is pleased to announce that Diane Little of Merchants’ Eastern Strategic Business Center on Long Island, has been named the newest Regional Underwriting Manager for the office. This additional underwriting manager position was created to handle the tremendous growth of the office.
Ms. Little began working at Merchants in January 1986 as a Commercial Lines Underwriter. She left to begin a family in 1987, and returned to Merchants in November of 2007 as a Commercial Lines Underwriter. She was promoted to Commercial Lines Underwriting Supervisor in November 2010.
She was given Merchants Insurance Group’s “President’s Award” in 2019, the highest honor given annually by the company to its outstanding employees.
Ms. Little holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Grove City College, graduating as valedictorian of her class. She also holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) insurance designation.
Ms. Little and her family are residents of Coram, N.Y.
